The group originated from a small rural plant by overcoming numerous hardships and challenges. Eighteen years ago, Mr. Liu Shaoxi, the founding father of the group started his business by setting up Shantou Chenhai Huaidong Furniture Factory with capital of RMB 800. The factory was small and weak but it was growing gradually by conquering many difficulties. After that Mr. Liu set up additional companies and expanded his businesses rapidly but stably. In 1995 Mr. Liu merged his eight holding companies into the group. Since then the group has come a long way and entered a fast developing stage. The tremendous endeavours over the past eighteen years have turned a small plant into a modern and diversified organization.
